![]() To be clear, those would be per-level, not all-game. Again I'm not sure, but personally I don't want the full NLNMAS because of that possibility. So you might not go through a large puzzle to collect it, just get close enough to get the mystery-tone activated and walk away. you might only walk up to it, while it's still trapped, not-get-it, and still get credit for it. But I also don't know if the secret needs to be accessible for you to get that tone. and I can find that "flag" in RAM if I take the time to go back and find every secret and catalog its respective Mystery-Tone. But each secret has a little "sound effect" that plays when you encounter it. ![]() You might already have the relic/gun/artifact, it's gone forever if you get it, so you can't collect it again if you got it during the main story, or failed one attempt at this challenge and wanted to try again. MAYBE at worst I could consider the gun/ammo cheats being allowed but I'm not sure how these challenges usually go. ![]() If I do make NLNM I do think they should be no-cheat as well, since there would be no point if you succeed at 'no meds' if you just never take damage due to cheating. Do we want that per level instead of just regular hard-mode? It would at least separate itself from no-cheat Time Trials, if those are might even be 'easier' than no-cheat Time Trials. So.to compensate, I can quickly turn Replay-Hard-Mode into NLNM by checking the time going from 00:00 to 00:01 and holding that, then Reset-If player's health goes up, which will happen if the player dies and respawns at a checkpoint or if they use meds. I think Hard Mode should be represented since I currently have main-story as "any difficulty", but now it feels a little less interesting compared to Replay Time Trial. In that sense, Replay-Hard-Mode MIGHT be just a repeat of Time Trial without any real challenge added, especially if Time Trial 'difficulty' is Hard-Difficulty. ![]() The challenging thing about Replay Mode is that it forces you to play the level all at once.you can't save and retry, but you can come back to life indefinitely at each checkpoint.but you're already doing that for Time Trial AND you have to do it in a specific time there. you use that for Time Trials, sure, but is "Time Trial Difficulty" easier or the same as Hard Mode? I don't know. at the same time, I think difficulty just means 'more HP/defense/attack for enemies' and mayyybe take more damage from falls/traps. REPLAY Hard Mode - aka, "This COULD Be Remade Into NLNM or NLNMAS"įrom what I'm seeing, there's no reward for beating Hard mode in-game. My instinct says no, and that all should be possible without cheating, but I don't expect myself to be good enough to test fairly whether that's true or not. My only concern is that maybe some Time Trials RELY on cheating, and I'm not sure if that's true or not. However, I do think that there is merit in beating Time Trials *without any cheat* since obviously you need to unlock a cheat code in order to use it, meaning you are expected to finish at least something without it. Since the game lets players use cheat codes to unlock other cheat codes, they should be given an achievement for doing it regardless of cheats. Time Trial - These unlock rewards for beating an entire World's Time Trial(except Croft Manor), but the reward gained is a Cheat. The items I've marked with an *asterisk* are the ones in question. no points have been added yet, all are just bare-bones code, no titles/desc/badges done yet. (the cheats that are blocked do not include Sunglasses or Enemy Health, but textureless and the rest are blocked) Gun Getting - Shotgun included as a hidden item in Lost Valley, 3 weapons total *Time Trial Individual - 15 levels including Croft Manor, NO CHEATSĪll Artifacts Per Level - 15 levels including Croft Manor *Time Trial Grouped per World - 5 groups including Croft Manor, cheats allowed *REPLAY-Mode Hard-difficulty - 14 levels, no cheats basic-coding is done, but there are a few tweaks that can be made depending on what people are wanting.īasic per-level progress, including Croft Manor - 15 levels, any difficulty, no cheats.
